This qualification reflects the role of individuals who coordinate and/or maintain the work, health and safety programs within an organisation. At this level the qualification reflects practitioners with significant and substantial knowledge of WHS skills in a wide range of settings.

This qualification would apply to individuals with various job titles including WHS Officers, WHS program consultants and WHS program coordinators or Managers
Individuals in these roles may possess substantial experience in a range of settings, but seek to further develop their skills across a wide range of operational functions.
Conversely, it may also apply to those with little or no vocational experience, but who possess sound theoretical WHS skills and knowledge that they would like to develop in order to create further educational and employment opportunities.



fmedge has the following admission requirements to suit the delivery and assessment mode offered:

• Students are required to be competent in written and spoken English and will undertake a Language, Literacy, and Numeracy test prior to commencing the training.

• Students are required to be competent in basic computer skills i.e. conduct internet research, use email, cut and paste, use templates and prepare answers using word.



There are no entry requirements for this qualification.



A possible training pathway for a student completing this qualification could be the following:

BSB60615 Advanced Diploma of Work Health and Safety
BSB61015 Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management

These qualifications represent a logical pathway regardless of whether the RTO offers the qualifications.

After achieving the BSB51315 Diploma of Work Health and Safety, candidates may pathway into the BSB60615 Advanced Diploma of Work Health and Safety or any Advanced Diploma within the BSB Training Package and/or other industry area.

‘Course Credits’ may be gained for further study on completion of this qualification.

Where this course is offered for our corporate clients and subject to the training packaging rules alternate electives may be substituted to provide customisation to their specific requirements.



Upon successful completion of the required 9 units, you will be awarded BSB51315 Diploma of Work Health and Safety.
