BSB42015 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who take the first line of management in wide range of organisational and industry contexts. They may have existing qualifications and technical skills in any given vocation or profession, yet require skills or recognition in supervisory functions. Typically they would report to a manager.
At this level frontline managers provide leadership and guidance to others and take responsibility for the effective functioning and performance of the team and its work outcomes.

Participants may include those that aspire to , or work in any Industry as

* Coordinators
* Leading hands
* Supervisors
* Team Leaders
* Foreman

Duration

You have a total of 2 years to complete the Certificate IV, however, based on a study commitment of 15 to 20 hours a week, candidates are able to complete this in 12 months.

Entry requirements

There are no entry requirements for this qualification.

Pathyways

A possible training pathway for a student completing this qualification could be the following:

* BSB51915 Diploma of Leadership and Management
* BSB50215 Diploma of Business

These qualifications represent a logical pathway regardless of whether the RTO offers the qualifications.

After achieving the BSB42015 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management candidates may pathway to the Diploma of Leadership and Management (BSB51915) or undertake a qualification in a specialist area within the BSB Business Services Training Package such as administration, management or human resources at Diploma level.

‘Course Credits’ may be gained for further study on completion of this qualification.

Job roles

Job roles associated with this qualification relate to the delivery of training and assessment of competence within the VET sector.

Employment outcomes may include the following role/s:

* Supervisor or Manager within any Industry area.

Course Content

12 units are required for award of this qualification including:

* Four (4) are core units
* Eight (8) are elective units

The Nominal Hours for the Qualification as per the Victorian Implementation / Purchasing Guide are 385-490 Hours.

Please Note: The elective units of competency have been selected by FMedge following industry consultation and are offered in the standard delivery of this course by FMedge. Candidates who have attained competency in alternate units may be eligible to substitute those units for Credit transfer/RPL or RCC in accordance with the training package rules for the BSB42015 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management. Where this course is offered for our corporate clients and subject to the training packaging rules alternate electives may be substituted to provide customisation to their specific requirements.

Upon successful completion of the required 12 units, you will be awarded BSB42015 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management.
